Course Details

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for individuals to safely perform foundation digital literacy tasks using a personal computer and a range of software applications and digital devices.

Units of Competency

Consistent with the qualification packaging rules, the units listed below will be delivered for this qualification:

BSBWOR203 Work effectively with others
SITHIND002 Source and use information on the hospitality industry
SITHIND003 Use hospitality skills effectively (Assessor must have worked in Industry for 3 years)
SITXCCS003 Interact with customers
SITXCOM002 Show social and cultural sensitivity
SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
SITXINV001 Receive and Store Stock
SITXWHS001Participate in safe work practices
TLIE1005 Carry out basic workplace calculations 

DEPENDING ON PATHWAY CHOSEN electives may include the following units, as per the Learner Handbook

BSBCMM201 Communicate in the workplace
BSBTEC201 Use business software
BSBTEC303 Create electronic presentations
SITXCOM001 Source and present information on the hospitality industry
SITHCCC002 Prepare and present simple dishes
SITHCCC003 Prepare and present sandwiches

OPTIONAL UNIT Assessor must have  worked in Industry for 3 years – may be chosen for delivery if approved by RTO – this will replace 1 other elective unit
SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee (prerequisite SITXFSA001)
